माघे प्रबलो वायुस्तुषारकलुषद्युती रविशशाङ्कौ । अतिशीतं सघनस्य च भानोरस्तोदयौ धन्यौ ॥ २१-२० ॥

In the month of Māgha, the wind is strong, and the radiance of the Sun and the Moon is dimmed by frost; the cold is intense, and for the Sun, both its setting and rising amid dense conditions are auspicious.

english translation

mAghe prabalo vAyustuSArakaluSadyutI ravizazAGkau । atizItaM saghanasya ca bhAnorastodayau dhanyau ॥ 21-20 ॥
