न तथाइच्छति भूपतेः पिता जननी वा स्वजनो अथ वा सुहृत् । स्वयशोअभिविवृद्धये यथा हितं आप्तः सबलस्य दैववित् ॥ २-२२ ॥
Neither the father nor the mother nor the relations nor friends of a prince will desire so much his well being and that of his subjects as a true Jyotiṣaka.
