शमयौद्गतां अशुभदृष्टिं अपि विबुधविप्रपूजया । शान्तिजपनियमदानदमैः सुजनाभिभाषणसमागमैस्तथा ॥ १०४-४८ ॥
Evils indicated by the motion of the planets (graha) may be escaped by the worship of the Brāhmaṇas and the Devas, by expiatory ceremonies, by the recitation of mantras and sacred texts, by the practice of austerities, by gifts to Brāhmaṇas, by the subjugation of one’s passions, by moving in the company of Sādhus, and by conversing with them.
