धर्मशस्य दशायां च भूरिल्लाभो यशःसुखम् । दशमेशदशाकाले सम्मानं नृपसंसदि ॥ ६॥
recognition from and awards by the Government in the Dasha of the Lord of Karm, obstacles in gains of wealth and the possibility of diseases in the Dasha of the Lord of Labh and distress and danger from diseases in the Dasha of the Lord of Vyaya.

dharmazasya dazAyAM ca bhUrillAbho yazaHsukham । dazamezadazAkAle sammAnaM nRpasaMsadi ॥ 6॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptलाभेशस्य दशाकाले लाभे बाधा रुजोभयम् । व्ययेशस्य दशा नृणां बहुकष्टप्रदा द्विज ॥ ७॥
A Grah, placed in an auspicious Bhava, like Trikon etc., at the commencement of the Dasha, produces favourable results in his Dasha. The Grah, placed in Ari, Randhr, or Vyaya at that time, yields only adverse results during his Dasha.

lAbhezasya dazAkAle lAbhe bAdhA rujobhayam । vyayezasya dazA nRNAM bahukaSTapradA dvija ॥ 7॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptदशारम्भे शुभस्थाने स्थितस्यापि शुभं फलम् । अशुभस्थानगस्यैवं शुभस्यापि न शोभनम् ॥ ८॥
It is therefore essential, that the placement of a Grah at the time of birth and at the commencement of the Dasha should both be taken into account for the assessment of the Dasha effects.

dazArambhe zubhasthAne sthitasyApi zubhaM phalam । azubhasthAnagasyaivaM zubhasyApi na zobhanam ॥ 8॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptपञ्चमेशेन युक्तस्य कर्मेशस्य दशा शुभा । नवमेशेन युक्तस्य कर्मेशस्यातिशभना ॥ ९॥
Here is the English translation and a brief explanation of the Sanskrit verse: Translation "The period (Dasha) of the lord of the 10th house (Karmesha), when associated with the lord of the 5th house (Panchamesha), brings good fortune (Shubha). However, the period of the lord of the 10th house, when associated with the lord of the 9th house (Navamesha), brings exceptionally great fortune (Atishobhana).

hk transliteration by Sanscriptपञ्चमेशेन युक्तस्य ग्रहस्यापि दशा शुभा । तथा धर्मपयुक्तस्य दशा परमशोभना ॥ १०॥
The planetary period (Dasha) of a planet associated with the lord of the 5th house (Panchamesha) brings good fortune (Shubha). Similarly, the period of a planet associated with the lord of the 9th house (Dharmapa) brings supreme or exceptionally high fortune (Paramashobhana).
