नीचादिदुष्टभावस्थे भौमे बलविवर्जिते । पापयुक्ते पापदृष्टे सा दशा नेष्टदायिका ॥ ३३॥
If Mangal is in his debilitation Rāśi, weak, in an inauspicious Bhava, or is associated with, or receives a Drishti from malefics, there will be in his Dasha loss of wealth, distress and similar unfavourable effects.

nIcAdiduSTabhAvasthe bhaume balavivarjite । pApayukte pApadRSTe sA dazA neSTadAyikA ॥ 33॥
