Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra
एकाद्येकोत्तरा ज्ञेयाः क्रमादासां दशासमाः । नक्षत्रयातभोगाभ्यां भुक्तं भोग्यं च साधयेत् ॥ २००॥
The Dashas are of 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 years. The balance of Dasha at birth should be worked out from the Bhayat and Bhabhog etc., as already explained earlier.

ekAdyekottarA jJeyAH kramAdAsAM dazAsamAH । nakSatrayAtabhogAbhyAM bhuktaM bhogyaM ca sAdhayet ॥ 200॥
