एकभे तु बहुष्वेको हरेत्स्वांशां बली ग्रहः । नाऽत्र क्षीणस्य चन्द्रस्य पापत्वं मुनिभिः स्मृतम् ॥ ११॥
Benefics in such cases lose only half of what malefics lose. Should there be more than one Grah in a Bhava, the deduction, due to the strongest, will only prevail and not deductions, due to other Grahas in that particular Bhava. Waning Candr is a benefic for this purpose.

ekabhe tu bahuSveko haretsvAMzAM balI grahaH । nA'tra kSINasya candrasya pApatvaM munibhiH smRtam ॥ 11॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptलग्नांशलिप्तिका हत्वा प्रत्येकं विहगायुषा । भाज्या मण्डललिप्ताभिर्लब्धं वर्षादि शोधयेत् ॥ १२॥
Malefics in Lagn. In case Tanu Bhava is occupied by malefics, adopt the following procedure. Convert Lagn‟s Sphuta into minutes of arc and multiply it by the years etc., contributed by the occupant, and divide by 21600.

lagnAMzaliptikA hatvA pratyekaM vihagAyuSA । bhAjyA maNDalaliptAbhirlabdhaM varSAdi zodhayet ॥ 12॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptस्वायुषो लग्नगे सूर्ये मङ्गले च शनैश्चरे । तदर्धं शुभसंदृष्टे पातयेद् द्विजसत्तम ॥ १३॥
The years etc. so arrived be deducted from the respective contribution, which will be the net span, donated by the Grah. If there is benefic‟s Drishti on Lagn, containing malefics, then the loss is only half.

svAyuSo lagnage sUrye maGgale ca zanaizcare । tadardhaM zubhasaMdRSTe pAtayed dvijasattama ॥ 13॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptलग्नराशिसमाश्चाब्दा भागाद्यैरनुपाततः । मासादिका इतीच्छन्ति लग्नायुः केऽपि कोविदाः ॥ १४॥
Lagn‟s Contribution. The number of years, contributed by Lagn, will correspond to the number of Rāśis it gained (from Mesh), while the degrees Lagn has gained in the particular Rāśi will also correspondingly donate (30° = l year).

lagnarAzisamAzcAbdA bhAgAdyairanupAtataH । mAsAdikA itIcchanti lagnAyuH ke'pi kovidAH ॥ 14॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptलग्नादायोंऽशतुल्यः स्यादन्तरे चाऽनुपाततः । तत्पतौ बलसंयुक्ते राशितुल्यं च भाघिपे ॥ १५॥
If the Lagn‟s Lord in the Navāńś is stronger than Lagn‟s Lord, then the contribution should be computed only based on the number of Navāńśas gained (from Mesh), otherwise the computation will be for the Rāśi Lagn.

lagnAdAyoM'zatulyaH syAdantare cA'nupAtataH । tatpatau balasaMyukte rAzitulyaM ca bhAghipe ॥ 15॥
