लग्नात् पदादुपारूढाद् यो राशिः सप्तमो द्विज । तस्मात् तत्स्वामिनः खेटात् तदंशाच्च द्विजोत्तम ॥ २३॥

O Brahmin, all these effects be deduced from the natal Lagn, Lagn Pad, the 7th from Upa Pad and the Lords thereof. So say Narada and others.

english translation

lagnAt padAdupArUDhAd yo rAziH saptamo dvija । tasmAt tatsvAminaH kheTAt tadaMzAcca dvijottama ॥ 23॥
