भांशपादसमैः प्राणैश्चराद्यर्कत्रिकोणभात्‌। उदयादिष्टकालान्तं यद्‌भं प्राणपदं हि तत्‌॥ ७१॥

Calculation of Pranapad. Convert the given time into Vighatis and divide the same by 15. The resultant Rāśi, degrees etc. be added to Sūrya, if he is in a Movable Rāśi, which will yield Pranapad.

english translation

bhAMzapAdasamaiH prANaizcarAdyarkatrikoNabhAt‌। udayAdiSTakAlAntaM yad‌bhaM prANapadaM hi tat‌॥ 71॥
