Astanga Hrudaya
वातश्लेष्महरं शुष्कं सर्वम् आमं तु दोषलम्। कटूष्णो वातकफहा पिण्डालुः पित्तवर्धनः॥१०५॥
When cooked with fats it mitigates vata; the dried one causes increase of the dosha. Pindalu is pungent, hot in potency, mitigates vata and kapha but increase pitta.
english translation
vAtazleSmaharaM zuSkaM sarvam AmaM tu doSalam। kaTUSNo vAtakaphahA piNDAluH pittavardhanaH॥105॥
