निर्वाप्य पिष्ट्वा तेनैव प्रतीवापं विनिक्षिपेत्। श्लक्ष्णं शकृद्दृक्षशिखिगृध्रकङ्ककपोतजम्॥१७॥

and salts should be ground into fine powder (paste) dropped and admixed in the same boiling solution of alkali which is being cooked in the iron cauldron and the contents should be stirred with a stirrer, excessively, all the while, from all sides of the vessel.

english translation

nirvApya piSTvA tenaiva pratIvApaM vinikSipet। zlakSNaM zakRddRkSazikhigRdhrakaGkakapotajam॥17॥
