Astanga Hrudaya
वर्षादयो विसर्गश्च-यद्वलं विसृजत्ययम् । सौम्यत्वादत्र सोमो हि बलवान् हीयते रविः ॥५॥
Visargkaal-Introduction- This period being gentle, gives strength to all living beings. In this period, Som (Moon) with gentle qualities remains strong and the strength of the Sun becomes weak.

विसर्गकाल-परिचय- यह काल सौम्य होने के कारण प्राणिमात्र को बल देता है। इस काल में सौम्यगुणों वाला सोम (चन्द्रमा) बलवान् रहता है और सूर्य का बल क्षीण हो जाता है।

varSAdayo visargazca-yadvalaM visRjatyayam । saumyatvAdatra somo hi balavAn hIyate raviH ॥5॥
