स्नेहशोधनयुक्त्यैवं बस्तिकर्म त्रिदोषजित्। ह्रस्वया स्नेहपानस्य मात्रया योजितः समः॥६७॥

Enema therapy will balance the three Doshas only when it is both lubricatingand purifying. Matra Basti – Low dose fat enema – Fat enema consisting of fat quantity equivalent to the minimum quantity of fat used for Snehakarma is known as Matra Basti.
