उपक्रम्यस्य हि द्वित्वाद्द्विधैवोपक्रमो मतः। एकः सन्तर्पणस्तत्र द्वितीयश्चापतर्पणः॥१॥

Dvividha Upakarma- two kinds of therapy :- Because, that to be treated, the human body is of two types – Obese and lean, the treatment is also of two kinds. 1. Santarpana- nourishing, enriching. It is also called as Brihmana (Stoutening, increasing weight, imparting heaviness)

english translation

upakramyasya hi dvitvAddvidhaivopakramo mataH। ekaH santarpaNastatra dvitIyazcApatarpaNaH॥1॥
