सपूर्वरूपाः कफपित्तमेहाः क्रमेण ये वातकृताश्च मेहाः । साध्या न ते पित्तकृतास्तु याप्याः साध्यास्तु मेदो यदि नातिदुष्टम् ॥ ४१ ॥
Prameha Sadhya asadhyata (prognosis of diabetes) : Prameha caused by Kapha and Pitta (all varieties),having all the premonitory symptomsand those caused by Vata,are not curable after long timethose caused by pitta are controllable;and in which the fat tissue is not greatly vitiated (increased) are curable.

sapUrvarUpAH kaphapittamehAH krameNa ye vAtakRtAzca mehAH । sAdhyA na te pittakRtAstu yApyAH sAdhyAstu medo yadi nAtiduSTam ॥ 41 ॥
