यत्तु पित्तोल्बणं रक्तं घर्मकाले प्रवर्तते । स्तम्भनीयं तदेकान्तान्न चेद्वातकफानुगम् ॥ १०१ ॥

When Pitta is aggravated along with Rakta flows in Greeshma Ritu (summer season), then Stambhana treatment (blocking therapy) should be adopted. However, this rule is not applicable if there is association of Vata and Kapha.

सकफेऽस्रे पिबेत् पाक्यं शुण्ठीकुटजवल्कलम् । किराततिक्तकं शुण्ठीं धन्वयासं कुचन्दनम् ॥ १०२ ॥

When Raktaja Arshas (blood-piles) is associated with Kapha Dosha, then the decoction (pākyam) prepared with śuṇṭhī – Zingiber officinale and bark of kuṭaja – Holarrhena antidysenterica should be consumed; or the decoction prepared with kirātatiktakaṃ – Swertia chirata, śuṇṭhīṃ – Zingiber officinale, dhanvayāsaṃ – Alhagi camelorum, and kucandanam – Adenanthera pavonina (red sandalwood / sappan wood);

दार्वीत्वङ्निम्बसेव्यानि त्वचं वा दाडिमोद्भवाम् । कुटजत्वक्फलं तार्क्ष्यं माक्षिकं घुणवल्लभाम् ॥ १०३ ॥

or the decoction prepared with dārvī-tvak – bark of Berberis aristata, nimba – Azadirachta indica, and sevya – Vetiveria zizanioides; or the decoction prepared from tvacaṃ vā dāḍimodbhavām – fruit skin of Punica granatum. The paste or powder of the bark and fruit of kuṭaja – Holarrhena antidysenterica, tārkṣyaṃ – Berberis aristata, mākṣikaṃ – honey, and ghuṇavallabhām – Aconitum heterophyllum

पिबेत्तण्डुलतोयेन कल्कितं वा मयूरकम् । तुलां दिव्याम्भसि पचेदार्द्रायाः कुटजत्वचः ॥ १०४ ॥

should be consumed along with rice-washed water (taṇḍula-toyena); or the paste (kalkitaṃ) of mayūrakaṃ – Achyranthes aspera should be drunk with rice-washed water. One Tula (4.8 kg) of ārdrāyāḥ kuṭajatvacaḥ – wet bark of Holarrhena antidysenterica is cooked in rain water (divyambhasi),

नीरसायां त्वचि क्वाथे दद्यात् सूक्ष्मरजीकृतान् । समङ्गाफलिनीमोचरसान् मुष्ट्यंशकान् समान् ॥ १०५ ॥

until the bark becomes tasteless (nīrasāyām). To this filtered decoction, fine powders (sūkṣma-rajīkṛtān) of samaṅgā – Rubia cordifolia, phalinī – Callicarpa macrophylla, and mocarasa – exudate of Salmalia malabarica are added, each in the quantity of one Muṣṭi (48 grams).
