लम्भ पालनो हि दण्डः कोशस्य, कोशः कोशस्य दण्डस्य च भवति ॥
For the treasury, the preservation of gains is indeed the rod of punishment; the treasury becomes (the source) of the treasury and of the rod of punishment.

lambha pAlano hi daNDaH kozasya, kozaH kozasya daNDasya ca bhavati ॥
