कार्पास सारं निर्मोकं सर्पस्य च समाहरेत् । न सर्पास् तत्र तिष्ठन्ति धूमो यत्र एष तिष्ठति ॥
Where there is the smoke caused by burning the essence of cotton seeds and the slough of a snake, there snakes will not stay.
english translation
kArpAsa sAraM nirmokaM sarpasya ca samAharet । na sarpAs tatra tiSThanti dhUmo yatra eSa tiSThati ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptसर्व जीजानां तु प्रथम वापे सुवर्ण उदक सम्प्लुतां पूर्व मुष्टिं वापयेद्, अमुं च मन्त्रं ब्रूयात् "प्रजापतये काश्यपाय देवाय च नमः सदा । सीता मे ऋध्यतां देवी बीजेषु च धनेषु च ॥
Always while sowing seeds, a handful of seeds bathed in water with a piece of gold shall be sown first and the following mantra recited:-- “Prajápatye Kasyapáya déváya Sadá Sítá medhyatám déví bíjéshu dhanéshu cha. Chandaváta hé."
english translation
sarva jIjAnAM tu prathama vApe suvarNa udaka samplutAM pUrva muSTiM vApayed, amuM ca mantraM brUyAt "prajApataye kAzyapAya devAya ca namaH sadA । sItA me RdhyatAM devI bIjeSu ca dhaneSu ca ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptषण्ड वाट गो पालक दास कर्म करेभ्यो यथा पुरुष परिवापं भक्तं कुर्यात्, स पाद पणिकं च मासं दद्यात् ॥
“Salutation to God Prajápati Kasyapa. Agriculture may always flourish and the Goddess (may reside) in seeds and wealth. Channdavata he." Provisions shall be supplied to watchmen, slaves and labourers in proportion to the amount of work done by them. They shall be paid a pana-and-a-quarter per mensem.
english translation
SaNDa vATa go pAlaka dAsa karma karebhyo yathA puruSa parivApaM bhaktaM kuryAt, sa pAda paNikaM ca mAsaM dadyAt ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptकर्म अनुरूपं कारुभ्यो भक्त वेतनम् ॥
Artisans shall be provided with wages and provision in proportion to the amount of work done by them.

karma anurUpaM kArubhyo bhakta vetanam ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptप्रशीर्णं च पुष्प फलं देव कार्य अर्थं व्रीहि यवम् आग्रयण अर्थं श्रोत्रियास् तपस्विनश् च आहरेयुः, राशि मूलम् उञ्छ वृत्तयः ॥
Those that are learned in the Vedas and those that are engaged in making penance may take from the fields ripe flowers and fruits for the purpose of worshipping their gods, and rice and barley for the purpose of performing ágrayana, a sacrificial performance at the commencement of harvest season, also those who live by gleaning grains in fields may gather grains where grains had been accumulated and removed from.

prazIrNaM ca puSpa phalaM deva kArya arthaM vrIhi yavam AgrayaNa arthaM zrotriyAs tapasvinaz ca AhareyuH, rAzi mUlam uJcha vRttayaH ॥
