काल पर्वतकं रक्त कालम् अनवद्य वर्णं वा ॥

kAla parvatakaM rakta kAlam anavadya varNaM vA ॥

कोश अगार पर्वतकं कालं काल चित्रं वा ॥
Kosákaraparvataka (that which is the product of that mountain which is of the shape of a bud) is black or variegated black.
koza agAra parvatakaM kAlaM kAla citraM vA ॥

शीत उदकीयं पद्म आभं काल स्निग्धं वा ॥
Sítódakíya is black and soft, and smells like a lotus-flower.
zIta udakIyaM padma AbhaM kAla snigdhaM vA ॥

नाग पर्वतकं रूक्षं शैवल वर्णं वा ॥
Nágaparvataka (that which is the product of Naga mountain) is rough and is possessed of the colour of Saivala (Vallisneria).
