अन्येषां वा बध्नतां भूमि मार्ग वृक्ष उपकरण अनुग्रहं कुर्यात्, पुण्य स्थान आरामाणां च ॥
Or he may provide with sites, roads, timber, and other necessary things those who construct reservoirs of their own accord. Likewise in the construction of places of pilgrimage (punyasthána) and of groves.
english translation
anyeSAM vA badhnatAM bhUmi mArga vRkSa upakaraNa anugrahaM kuryAt, puNya sthAna ArAmANAM ca ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptसम्भूय सेतु बन्धाद् अपक्रामतः कर्मकर बलीवर्दाः कर्म कुर्युः ॥
Whoever stays away from any kind of cooperative construction (sambhúya setubhandhát) shall send his servants and bullocks to carry on his work.
english translation
sambhUya setu bandhAd apakrAmataH karmakara balIvardAH karma kuryuH ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptव्ययकर्मणि च भागी स्यात्, न च अंशं लभेत ॥
shall have a share in the expenditure, but shall have no claim to the profit.
english translation
vyayakarmaNi ca bhAgI syAt, na ca aMzaM labheta ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptमत्स्य प्लव हरि तपण्यानां सेतुषु राजा स्वाम्यं गच्छेत् ॥
The king shall exercise his right of ownership (swámyam) with regard to fishing, ferrying and trading in vegetables (haritapanya) in reservoirs or lakes (sétushu).
english translation
matsya plava hari tapaNyAnAM setuSu rAjA svAmyaM gacchet ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptदास आहितक बन्धून् अशृण्वतो राजा विनयं ग्राहयेत् ॥
Those who do not heed the claims of their slaves (dása), hirelings (áhitaka), and relatives shall be taught their duty.
english translation
dAsa Ahitaka bandhUn azRNvato rAjA vinayaM grAhayet ॥
