त एनं संधौ पर हिंसायां वा योजयेयुः ॥
They should utilize him for the sake of an alliance or for the injury of others.

ta enaM saMdhau para hiMsAyAM vA yojayeyuH ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptअप्रतिपद्यमानं "कृतो नः संधिः" इत्य् आवेदयेयुः ॥
If he does not agree, they should report: "Our peace treaty has been concluded ."

apratipadyamAnaM "kRto naH saMdhiH" ity AvedayeyuH ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptतम् इतरेषाम् उभय वेतनाः संक्रामयेयुः "अयं वो राजा दुष्टः" इति ॥
Those who receive salaries from both parties should instigate others against him, saying: "This king of yours is corrupt."
english translation
tam itareSAm ubhaya vetanAH saMkrAmayeyuH "ayaM vo rAjA duSTaH" iti ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptयस्य वा यस्माद् भयं वैरं द्वेषो वा तं तस्माद् भेदयेयुः "अयं ते शत्रुणा संधत्ते, पुरा त्वाम् अतिसंधत्ते, क्षिप्रतरं संधीयस्व, निग्रहे च अस्य प्रयतस्व" इति ॥
When a person has reason to fear or hate another, spies may augment dissension between them by telling one of them: "This man is making an agreement with your enemy, and will soon deceive you; hence make peace (with the king) soon and attempt to put down this man."
english translation
yasya vA yasmAd bhayaM vairaM dveSo vA taM tasmAd bhedayeyuH "ayaM te zatruNA saMdhatte, purA tvAm atisaMdhatte, kSiprataraM saMdhIyasva, nigrahe ca asya prayatasva" iti ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptआवाह विवाहाभ्यां वा कृत्वा सम्योगम् असम्युक्तान् भेदयेत् ॥
One should sow dissension among those who are not yet united by establishing alliances or marriage connections with them.

AvAha vivAhAbhyAM vA kRtvA samyogam asamyuktAn bhedayet ॥
