अधिगतसर्वशास्त्रार्थमपि शिष्यं योग्यां कारयेत् | स्नेहादिषु छेद्यादिषु च कर्मपथमुपदिशेत् | सुबहुश्रुतोऽप्यकृतयोग्यः कर्मस्वयोग्यो भवति ||३||

"One should train a student who has comprehended the meanings of all the scriptures and is skilled. Such a student should be guided in performing tasks involving cutting, and other actions with care. Even if someone is highly learned but does not practice appropriately, they will still be deemed unfit for the tasks related to their skills."

There, he should show the specific cuts in flowers, fruits, gourds, Kālindaka, Trapuṣa, Vāruka, Kārkaruka, etc.; he should instruct in the operations of scraping and paring; in the water-filled bladders, bags, etc., filled with water and mud, the suitability for piercing; in the stretched hairy skin, for writing; in the veins of dead animals and lotus stalks, for piercing; in the mouths of bamboo, reed, and dry gourd split by termites, for probing; in the pulp of jackfruit, jujube, and bilva fruits and the teeth of dead animals, for extracting; in a Salmali fruit smeared with beeswax, for letting out; in the edges of fine thick cloth and soft leather, for sewing; in the various parts and limbs of a wooden man, for binding; in soft pieces of meat, for the application of fire and alkali; in soft leather, flesh, and sinews, and lotus stalks, for the binding of joints; and in the sides of water-filled pots, the mouth of a gourd, etc., for the application of enema, wound treatment, and pressing, etc.

भवतश्चात्र- एवमादिषु मेधावी योग्यार्हेषु यथाविधि | द्रव्येषु योग्यां कुर्वाणो न प्रमुह्यति कर्मसु ||५||

"Thus, a skilled and competent person, when performing actions as prescribed, does not get confused in their tasks, if they act appropriately with the materials involved." In other words, a knowledgeable and capable individual will perform their duties effectively and without confusion if they follow the proper procedures and handle the materials correctly.
