अतिपातिषु रोगेषु नेच्छेद्विधिमिमं भिषक् | प्रदीप्तागारवच्छीघ्रं तत्र कुर्यात् प्रतिक्रियाम् ||४१||

In cases of severe or acute diseases, the physician should not follow the prescribed procedure. Instead, he should perform a prompt corrective action, similar to how a fire is quickly extinguished in a burning house.

या वेदना शस्त्रनिपातजाता तीव्रा शरीरं प्रदुनोति जन्तोः | धृतेन सा शान्तिमुपैति सिक्ता कोष्णेन यष्टीमधुकान्वितेना ||४२||

The pain caused by a surgical incision that intensely affects the body of a person will subside when treated with a soothing application, such as a warm paste made with licorice and honey, which brings relief and calmness.
