Sushruta Samhita
दशैवान्यान् प्रवक्ष्यामि द्रवादींस्तान्निबोध मे । द्रवः प्रक्लेदनः, सान्द्रः स्थूलः स्याद्बन्धकारकः ॥५२०॥
I will now describe the ten types of actions involving liquids. Understand these from me. Liquids are classified as those that cause dissolution or those that are thick and act as binding agents.

मैं अब द्रवादी क्रियाओं के दस प्रकारों का वर्णन करूंगा। इन्हें मुझसे समझें। द्रवों को दो श्रेणियों में बांटा जाता है: एक जो प्रवाह का कारण बनते हैं और दूसरी जो गाढ़ी होती हैं और बंधनकारी होती हैं।
