अम्लीभूतं कफोत्क्लेदि न हितं तत् पिपासवे | मद्यपानात्समुद्भूते रोगे पित्तोत्थिते तथा ||४२||

Water that has become sour, which increases mucus, is not suitable for those who are thirsty. Similarly, it is not good for those suffering from diseases caused by excessive consumption of alcohol or conditions aggravated by bile.

जो पानी खट्टा हो गया है और कफ बढ़ाने वाला हो, वह प्यासे व्यक्ति के लिए उपयुक्त नहीं है। इसी प्रकार, यह शराब के अत्यधिक सेवन या पित्त से उत्तेजित रोगों से पीड़ित व्यक्तियों के लिए भी अच्छा नहीं है।
