दोषधातुमलाद्यानां विज्ञानाध्याय एव च । कर्णव्यधामपक्वैषावालेपो व्रण्युपासनम् ॥६॥
"The chapter on the understanding of the doshas, dhatus, and malas includes the knowledge of ear diseases, the treatment of wounds, the application of ointments, and the care of wounds."

doSadhAtumalAdyAnAM vijJAnAdhyAya eva ca । karNavyadhAmapakvaiSAvAlepo vraNyupAsanam ॥6॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptहिताहितो व्रणप्रश्नो व्रणास्रावश्च यः पृथक् । कृत्याकृत्यविधिर्व्याधिसमुद्देशीय एव च ॥७॥
"The chapter on what is beneficial and detrimental, the questions regarding wounds, the exudation from wounds, and the instructions on actions to be taken or avoided in the context of diseases, is indeed separate and specifically related to diseases."

hk transliteration by Sanscriptविनिश्चयः शस्त्रविधौ प्रनष्टज्ञानिकस्तथा । शल्योद्धृतिर्व्रणज्ञानं दूतस्वप्ननिदर्शनम् ॥८॥
"The determination of the appropriate use of instruments, the lost or confused knowledge of science, the removal of foreign bodies, the knowledge of wounds, and the indications of messengers and dreams are also covered."

vinizcayaH zastravidhau pranaSTajJAnikastathA । zalyoddhRtirvraNajJAnaM dUtasvapnanidarzanam ॥8॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptपञ्चेन्द्रियं तथा छाया स्वभावाद्वैकृतं तथा । अवारणो युक्तसेनीय आतुरक्रमभूमिकौ ॥९॥
"The five senses, as well as the shadow (or reflection), are naturally subject to alteration. The coverings (or conditions) and the appropriate application for the stages of illness and treatment are also included."
