एकान्तहितान्येकान्ताहितानि तु प्रागुपदिष्टानि, हिताहितानि तु यद्वायोः पथ्यं तत् पित्तस्यापथ्यमिति ||७||

The substances that are exclusively beneficial or exclusively harmful have already been described earlier. However, substances that are beneficial or harmful according to the nature of Vata and Pitta are those that are beneficial for Vata but harmful for Pitta, and vice versa.

english translation

जो पदार्थ केवल लाभकारी या केवल हानिकारक हैं, वे पहले ही वर्णित किए जा चुके हैं। लेकिन वे पदार्थ जो वात और पित्त की प्रकृति के अनुसार लाभकारी या हानिकारक होते हैं, वे उन पदार्थों को संदर्भित करते हैं जो वात के लिए लाभकारी लेकिन पित्त के लिए हानिकारक होते हैं, और इसके विपरीत।
