अश्मरी दारुणो व्याधिरन्तकप्रतिमो मतः । औषधैस्तरुणः साध्यः प्रवृद्धश्छेदमर्हति ॥३॥
Ashmari (urinary calculus) is a severe disease, akin to death itself. A case of recent origin (acute) can be treated with medicines, while a chronic one requires surgical intervention.
