पाल्यामयास्तु विस्राव्या इत्युक्तं प्राङ्निबोध तान् । परिपोटस्तथोत्पात उन्मन्थो दुःखवर्धनः ॥३॥

Blood-letting has been previously recommended for diseases of the Pali (ear-lobes). Now, listen as I describe the conditions confined to the lobes of the ears, which are of five types: Paripota, Utpata, Unmantha, Duhkha-Vardhana. ॥3॥

पाली (कान-लोब) के रोगों के लिए पहले भी रक्त-त्याग की सिफारिश की गई है। अब, सुनिए कि मैं कान के लोब तक सीमित स्थितियों का वर्णन करता हूं, जो पांच प्रकार की होती हैं: परिपोटा, उत्पता, उन्मंथा, दु:खा-वर्धन। ॥3॥
