Now we shall discourse on the medical treatment of the affections of the mouth (Mukha- Roga).

With the four types of oil and honey wax, one should apply an ointment for wind (vata) disorders and administer tube-based fomentation.

चार प्रकार के तेल और शहद मोम के साथ, वायु (वात) विकारों के लिए मरहम लगाना चाहिए और ट्यूब-आधारित सिंकाई करनी चाहिए।

In cases of inflammation of the lips, a poultice with rock salt should be applied. For disorders of the head, a medicated oil beneficial for alleviating vata should be used as nasal drops.

ओष्ठों में सूजन होने पर सालवण (सेंधा नमक) के साथ पुल्टिस लगाएं। सिर के विकारों में वातहर तेल का नस्य लेना हितकर होता है।

vidadhyAdoSThakope tu sAlvaNaM copanAhane । mastiSke caiva nasye ca tailaM vAtaharaM hitam ॥4॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptश्रीवेष्टकं सर्जरसं सुरदारु सगुग्गुलु । यष्टीमधुकचूर्णं तु विदध्यात् प्रतिसारणम् ॥५॥
A paste for local application should be prepared using shree-vestaka (red ochre), sarja resin, devadaru (Himalayan cedar), guggulu, and powder of licorice (yashtimadhu).
