बालवर्त्यामदत्तायां मस्तुलुङ्गं व्रणात् स्रवेत् । हन्यादेनं ततो वायुस्तस्मादेवमुपाचरेत् ॥७०॥

A plug of hair should be inserted into a wound on the head, after having extracted the foreign matter therefrom, with a view to arrest the exuding of the brain matter (Mastulunga) which invariably proves fatal to the patient through the aggravation of the deranged Vayu in consequence thereof.

सिर की चोट में बाल का एक ढक्कन लगाया जाना चाहिए, इसके अंदर से विदेशी पदार्थ निकालने के बाद, ताकि मस्तुलुंग (मस्तिष्क का पदार्थ) का रिसाव रोका जा सके, जो कि इसके परिणामस्वरूप बिगड़े हुए वायु के कारण रोगी के लिए हमेशा घातक साबित होता है।
