हृतेषु दोषेषु यथानुपूर्व्या ग्रन्थौ भिषक् श्लेष्मसमुत्थिते तु । स्विन्नस्य विम्लापनमेव कुर्यादङ्गुष्ठलोहोपलवेणुदण्डैः ॥१२॥

In the case of swellings caused by an increase of mucus in the body, the physician should perform the treatment according to the proportions of the doshas. For a person who is perspiring, one should apply a paste made from the mixture of powdered barley and the spittle of a goat.

english translation

यदि शरीर में कफ के वृद्धि से ग्रन्थियाँ उत्पन्न हुई हैं, तो चिकित्सक को दोषों के अनुपात के अनुसार उपचार करना चाहिए। पसीना आ रहे व्यक्ति पर जौ का चूर्ण और बकरी के थूक का मिश्रण लगाना चाहिए।
