पक्वं वा बहिरुन्नद्धं भित्त्वा व्रणवदाचरेत् । स्रुतेषूर्ध्वमधो वाऽपि मैरेयाम्लसुरासवैः ॥३५॥

If the abscess has ripened and risen externally, it should be incised and treated like a wound. In case of discharge, either upwards or downwards, wash with fermented drinks like maireya, sour gruel, or wine.

यदि फोड़ा पक गया हो और बाहर से उग आया हो तो उसे काटकर घाव की तरह उपचार करना चाहिए। ऊपर या नीचे की ओर स्राव के मामले में, मैरेया, खट्टी दलिया या वाइन जैसे किण्वित पेय से धोएं।
