उक्ता विद्रधयः षड्ये तेष्वसाध्यस्तु सर्वजः । शेषेष्वामेषु कर्तव्या त्वरितं शोफवत् क्रिया ॥३॥
The six types of abscesses have been described. Among them, the one caused by a combination of all doshas is incurable. In the remaining acute abscesses, treatment should be done promptly, similar to the treatment of swelling.

छह प्रकार की विद्रधियों का वर्णन किया गया है। इनमें सभी दोषों के सम्मिलित होने से उत्पन्न होने वाली विद्रधि असाध्य होती है। शेष तीव्र विद्रधियों में उपचार शीघ्रता से किया जाना चाहिए, जैसे सूजन का उपचार किया जाता है।

वातघ्नमूलकल्कैस्तु घृततैलवसायुतैः । सुखोष्णो बहलो लेपः प्रयोज्यो वातविद्रधौ ॥४॥
In the case of Vataja abscess, a thick and warm plaster made from the paste of Vata-pacifying roots, mixed with ghee, oil, and lard, should be applied.

सानूपौदकमांसस्तु काकोल्यादिः सतर्पणः । स्नेहाम्लसिद्धो लवणः प्रयोज्यश्चोपनाहने ॥५॥
In the case of an abscess, the flesh of aquatic and marsh-dwelling animals, boiled with the drugs of the Kakolyadi group, should be used as a nourishing poultice, prepared with oil, sour ingredients, and salt.
