ऊर्ध्वजत्रुगतान् रोगान् व्रणांश्च कफवातजान् । शोफस्रावरुजायुक्तान् धूमपानैरुपाचरेत् ॥१२९॥

चिकित्सक को ऊपर की ओर जाने वाली नाड़ियों से उत्पन्न होने वाली बीमारियों और कफ तथा वात के कारण होने वाले घावों के साथ-साथ सूजन और दर्द से संबंधित बीमारियों का इलाज धूम्रपान चिकित्सा के माध्यम से करना चाहिए।
