छायाकर्णौ ततो दद्याच् छायाग्राच् छङ्कुमूर्धगौ । छायाकर्णाग्रसम्योगे सम्स्थितस्य प्रदर्शयेत्॥
From the extremity of the shadow until the apex of the cones, determine the two hypotenuses of the shadow. To a person standing at the extremity of the line joining the tip of the hypotenuse of the shadow, show the planet, and he would be able to see the tip of the cone too.

chAyAkarNau tato dadyAc chAyAgrAc chaGkumUrdhagau । chAyAkarNAgrasamyoge samsthitasya pradarzayet॥
