भानोर् ग्रहे कोटिलिप्ता मध्यस्थित्यर्धसम्गुणाः। स्फुटस्थित्यर्धसम्भक्ताः स्फुटाः कोटिकलाः स्मृता॥

sanskrit

In an eclipse of the Sun, the Koti in minutes (above found,) multiplied by the mean Sthityardha and divided by the apparent[1] Sthityardha becomes the Sphuṭa or apparent Koṭi in minutes.

english translation

bhAnor grahe koTiliptA madhyasthityardhasamguNAH। sphuTasthityardhasambhaktAH sphuTAH koTikalAH smRtA॥
