यद् ग्राह्यम् अधिके तस्मिन् सकलम् न्यूनम् अन्यथा । योगार्धाद् अधिके न स्याद् विक्षेपे ग्राससम्भवः॥

If this quantity should be greater than the diameter of the disc which is to be eclipsed, the eclipse will be a total one, otherwise it will be partial. But if the Moon's latitude be greater than half the sum (mentioned in the preceding Śloka) there cannot be an eclipse.

english translation

yad grAhyam adhike tasmin sakalam nyUnam anyathA । yogArdhAd adhike na syAd vikSepe grAsasambhavaH॥
