भारतादिषु वर्षेषु तद्वद् एव परिभ्रमन् । मध्योदयार्धरात्र्यस्तकालान् कुर्यात् प्रदक्षिणम्॥
In like manner also he produces, by his revolution, in Bharata and the other climes, noon, sunrise, pidnight, and sunset, reckoning from east to west.
english translation
ध्रुवोन्नतिर् भचक्रस्य नतिर् मेरुम् प्रयास्यतः। निरक्षाभिमुखम् यातुर् विपरीते नतोन्नते॥
As we move more and more towards the Merus we can see the pole-star (Dhruva) is elevated more and more and the circle of constellations (bhacakra* ) is depressed more and more. The reverse happens, that is, depression of pole star and elevation of circle of constellations, when one moves more and more towards the place of no latitude.

भचक्रम् ध्रुवयोर् बद्धम् आक्षिप्तम् प्रवहानिलैः। पर्येत्य् अजस्रम् तन्नद्धा ग्रहकक्षा यथाक्रमम्॥
The circle of asterisnis, bound at the two poles, impelled by the provector (pravaha) winds, revolves eternally : attached to that are the orbits of the planets, in their order.

सकृद् उद्गतम् अब्दार्धम् पश्यन्त्य् अर्कम् सुरासुराः। पितरः शशिगाः पक्षम् स्वदिनम् च नरा भुवि॥
The gods and demons behold the sun, after it is once risen, for half a year ; the ancestors (yitaras), who have their station in the moon, for a half-month (paksha) ; and men upon the earth, during their own day.
english translation
उपरिष्टस्य महती कक्षाल्पाधःस्थितस्य च । महत्या कक्षया भागा महान्तो +अल्पास् तथाल्पया॥
The orbit (kakshd) of one that is situated higher up is large ; that of one situated lower down is small. Upon a great orbit the degrees are great ; so also, upon a small one, they are small.
