द्वादशघ्ना गुरोर् याता भगणा वर्तमानकैः। राशिभिः सहिताः शुद्धाः षष्ट्या स्युर् विजयादयः ॥

Multiply the number of elapsed revolutions of Jupiter by 12; to the product add the number of the signs from the stellar Aries to that occupied by Jupiter; divide the amount by 60, and reckoning the remainder from Vijaya,[1] you will find the present Samvatsara.

english translation

dvAdazaghnA guror yAtA bhagaNA vartamAnakaiH। rAzibhiH sahitAH zuddhAH SaSTyA syur vijayAdayaH ॥
