The time containing twelve thousand years of the Gods is called a Chaturyuga (the aggregate of the four yugas, Krịta, Treṭá, Dwápara and Kali).

taddvAdazasahasrANi caturyugam udAhRtam। sUryAbdasamkhyayA dvitrisAgarair ayutAhataiH ॥
