अयोध्यावासिनः सर्वे बालकान् पुनरागतान् । दृष्ट्वा विसिस्मिरे राजन् राजा चाप्यन्वतप्यत ॥ ९-८-१९ ॥

O King Parīkṣit, when all the inhabitants of Ayodhyā saw that their boys had come back to life, they were astounded, and King Sagara greatly lamented the absence of his son. ॥ 9-8-19 ॥

english translation

हे राजा परीक्षित, जब सारे अयोध्यावासियों ने देखा कि उनके लडक़े पुन: जीवित हो उठे हैं तो वे स्तम्भित रह गये और राजा सगर को अपने पुत्र की अनुपस्थिति पर अत्यधिक पश्चाताप हुआ। ॥ ९-८-१९ ॥
