यमुनान्तर्जले मग्नस्तप्यमानः परं तपः । निर्वृतिं मीनराजस्य वीक्ष्य मैथुनधर्मिणः ।। ९-६-३९ ।।

sanskrit

Saubhari Ṛṣi was engaged in austerity, deep in the water of the river Yamunā, when he saw a pair of fish engaged in sexual affairs. Thus he perceived the pleasure of sex life, and induced by this desire, ।। 9-6-39 ।।

english translation

सौभरि ऋषि यमुना नदी के गहरे जल में तपस्या में तल्लीन थे कि उन्होंने मछलियों के एक जोड़े को संभोगरत देखा। इस तरह उन्होंने विषयी जीवन का सुख अनुभव किया जिससे प्रेरित होकर ।। ९-६-३९ ।।
