शशबिन्दोर्दुहितरि बिन्दुमत्यामधान्नृपः । पुरुकुत्समम्बरीषं मुचुकुन्दं च योगिनम् । तेषां स्वसारः पञ्चाशत्सौभरिं वव्रिरे पतिम् ॥ ९-६-३८ ॥
Māndhātā begot three sons in the womb of Bindumatī, the daughter of Śaśabindu. These sons were Purukutsa, Ambarīṣa, and Mucukunda, a great mystic yogī. These three brothers had fifty sisters, who all accepted the great sage Saubhari as their husband. ॥ 9-6-38 ॥

शशबिन्दु की पुत्री बिन्दुमती के गर्भ से मान्धाता को तीन पुत्र उत्पन्न हुए। इनके नाम थे पुरुकुत्स, अम्बरीष तथा महान् योगी मुचुकुन्द। इन तीनों भाइयों के पचास बहिनें थीं जिन्होंने सौभरि ऋषि को अपना पति चुना। ॥ ९-६-३८ ॥
