श्रीभगवानुवाच अहं भक्तपराधीनो ह्यस्वतन्त्र इव द्विज । साधुभिर्ग्रस्तहृदयो भक्तैर्भक्तजनप्रियः ।। ९-४-६३ ।।

sanskrit

The Supreme Personality of Godhead said to the brāhmaṇa: I am completely under the control of My devotees. Indeed, I am not at all independent. Because My devotees are completely devoid of material desires, I sit only within the cores of their hearts. What to speak of My devotee, even those who are devotees of My devotee are very dear to Me. ।। 9-4-63 ।।

english translation

भगवान् ने उस ब्राह्मण से कहा : मैं पूर्णत: अपने भक्तों के वश में हूँ। निस्सन्देह, मैं तनिक भी स्वतंत्र नहीं हूँ। चूँकि मेरे भक्त भौतिक इच्छाओं से पूर्णत: रहित होते हैं अतएव मैं उनके हृदयों में ही निवास करता हूँ। मुझे मेरे भक्त ही नहीं, मेरे भक्तों के भक्त भी अत्यन्त प्रिय हैं। ।। ९-४-६३ ।।
