Srimad Bhagavatam
शान्तां स्वकन्यां प्रायच्छदृष्यशृङ्ग उवाह ताम् । देवेऽवर्षति यं रामा आनिन्युर्हरिणीसुतम् ॥ ९-२३-८ ॥
Mahārāja Daśaratha gave him his own daughter, named Śāntā. Romapāda accepted her as his daughter, and thereafter she married Ṛṣyaśṛṅga. When the demigods from the heavenly planets failed to shower rain, Ṛṣyaśṛṅga was appointed the priest for performing a sacrifice, after being brought from the forest by the allurement of prostitutes, ॥ 9-23-8 ॥
english translation
महाराज दशरथ ने उसे अपनी पुत्री शान्ता दे दी। रोमपाद ने उसे पुत्री रूप में स्वीकार किया। तत्पश्चात् उस पुत्री ने ऋष्यशृंग से विवाह कर लिया। जब स्वर्गलोक के देवताओं ने वर्षा नहीं की तो ऋष्यशृंग को वेश्याओं के द्वारा आकर्षित करके जंगल से लाया गया और उसे एक यज्ञ सम्पन्न करने के लिए पुरोहित नियुक्त किया गया। ॥ ९-२३-८ ॥
