यमाहुर्वासुदेवांशं हैहयानां कुलान्तकम् । त्रिःसप्तकृत्वो य इमां चक्रे निःक्षत्रियां महीम् ॥ ९-१५-१४ ॥
Learned scholars accept this Paraśurāma as the celebrated incarnation of Vāsudeva who annihilated the dynasty of Kārtavīrya. Paraśurāma killed all the kṣatriyas on earth twenty-one times. ॥ 9-15-14 ॥

विद्वान लोग इस परशुराम को भगवान् वासुदेव का विख्यात अवतार मानते हैं जिसने कार्तवीर्य के वंश का विनाश किया। परशुराम ने पृथ्वी के सभी क्षत्रियों का इक्कीस बार वध किया। ॥ ९-१५-१४ ॥
