इक्ष्वाकूणामयं वंशः सुमित्रान्तो भविष्यति । यतस्तं प्राप्य राजानं संस्थां प्राप्स्यति वै कलौ ॥ ९-१२-१६ ॥

The last king in the dynasty of Ikṣvāku will be Sumitra; after Sumitra there will be no more sons in the dynasty of the sun-god, and thus the dynasty will end. ॥ 9-12-16 ॥

english translation

इक्ष्वाकु वंश का अन्तिम राजा सुमित्र होगा; उसके बाद सूर्यदेव के वंश में और कोई पुत्र न होगा और इस वंश का अन्त हो जायेगा। ॥ ९-१२-१६ ॥

ikSvAkUNAmayaM vaMzaH sumitrAnto bhaviSyati । yatastaM prApya rAjAnaM saMsthAM prApsyati vai kalau ॥ 9-12-16 ॥
