तवासनं द्विजगवां पारमेष्ठ्यं जगत्पते । भवाय श्रेयसे भूत्यै क्षेमाय विजयाय च ॥ ७-३-१३ ॥
O Lord Brahmā, your position within this universe is certainly most auspicious for everyone, especially the cows and brāhmaṇas. Brahminical culture and the protection of cows can be increasingly glorified, and thus all kinds of material happiness, opulence and good fortune will automatically increase. But unfortunately, if Hiraṇyakaśipu occupies your seat, everything will be lost. ॥ 7-3-13 ॥
english translation
हे ब्रह्माजी, निश्चय ही आपका पद इस ब्रह्माण्ड के सभी लोगों के लिए, विशेष रूप से ब्राह्मणों तथा गायों के लिए, अत्यन्त कल्याणप्रद है। इससे ब्राह्मण-संस्कृति तथा गौ-सुरक्षा को अधिकाधिक महिमामंडित किया जा सकता है और इस प्रकार सभी प्रकार के भौतिक सुख, ऐश्वर्य तथा सौभाग्य स्वत: वृद्धि करेंगे। किन्तु दुर्भाग्यवश यदि हिरण्यकशिपु आपका स्थान ग्रहण करता है, तो सब कुछ नष्ट हो जाएगा। ॥ ७-३-१३ ॥
