स्त्रीणां च पतिदेवानां तच्छुश्रूषानुकूलता । तद्बन्धुष्वनुवृत्तिश्च नित्यं तद्व्रतधारणम् ॥ ७-११-२५ ॥
To render service to the husband, to be always favorably disposed toward the husband, to be equally well disposed toward the husband’s relatives and friends, and to follow the vows of the husband — these are the four principles to be followed by women described as chaste. ॥ 7-11-25 ॥
english translation
पति की सेवा करना, अपने पति के अनुकूल रहना, पति के सम्बन्धियों तथा मित्रों के प्रति भी समान रूप से अनुकूल रहना तथा पति के व्रतों का पालन करना—ये चार नियम पतिव्रता स्त्री के लिए पालनीय हैं। ॥ ७-११-२५ ॥
